Plot Preview
The second book in a series written by Christopher Paolini, which follows the story of Eragon. In the continuing story of Eldest, Eragon, a heroic teenager, must oppose the evil magician Galbatorix to free all the Humans, Elves and Dwarves. Eragon the dragon rider by fate trains to learn new skills and abilities to best his opponents. He must unite and make allies of all the Dwarves, Elves, Dragons and Humans of Alagaesia. Meanwhile back in the village, Carvahall, Eragon's cousin Roran is fighting an overwhelming force sent by Galbatorix. Our main hero, Eragon has to first make an allegiance with the Varden, who provide the manpower to transport him to the Elves.With the guidance of the Elves he perfects "The Ancient Language" which enables him to succeed in mastering his magical abilities.
