        I think that this novel easily captures a readers attention because of the engaging storyline. This novel kept making me wanting to read it even more. The character Lena, who faces many challenges in life started out as an innocent, happy, and loving girl to a fearless, stronger, and cunning lady after she met a boy who she was forbidden to be with, Alex.This book takes place in Portland, where people have to undergo a procedure that will cure them from "love" and if they do not, then they are sent to the Crypts where they will be trapped in cells until the day they die. This book was filled with emotional tensity and keeps the reader wanting to know what would happen next. This book is great, and twists into a new direction every few pages. It is a very exhilarating novel to read, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Scout and Jem Finch live in a old Alabama town of Maycomb. Their father, Atticus, is a lawyer. For fun Scout, Jem, and their best friend Dill begin trying to make their neighbor to come out of his house. Atticus forbids them to have anything to do with Mr. Radley, urging them to let the poor man be. Atticus is a good man, and one day takes on a case that affects him personally. Scout and Jem begin to get tormented over their father at school, and Atticus begs them not to get riled up over the town's prejudice. They begin to realize that many people in town are very prejudiced against blacks. It is hard for them to understand how people can be so mean to each other.

This book is powerful. The story portrays the coexistence of good and evil. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in history.  Reading this book just reminded me there are still good will people in the world.

However, the school she goes to is heavily influenced by gangs, especially the two notorious gangs the Bloods and the Crips. Julia has many friends many of whom are associated with gangs. Julia and her best friend, Q, vowed to never associate themselves with any gangs. Regardless, Julia's life is completely changed after meeting Eric Valienté the mysterious new boy from Detroit. Julia can only hope that Eric won't be into gangs like all the other guys, after all she really likes this guy...

This book is astonishing and powerful. The story portrays a vivid imagination of gang culture in Brooklyn. This book would be highly recommended to people who have an interest other cultures. The book gives a shocking insight to why and how children join gangs and what drives them to stay loyal to them.

The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov

The story of a town when the devil comes to stay for a weekend. This book was one of the funniest books I have ever read. The devil and his retinue were turning this town upside down and creating a lovable and unforgettable story.
When reading this story I fell in love with some of the characters and couldn't wait to see what would happen to them in the end. I especially loved the way the devil was portrayed as a laid back person who lets his followers do all the work for him, a lover of black magic, and someone who cares about his retinue. I do not know what to say about the talking cat. He was perfection that is all I can say about that magnificent cat. I admire the strong female that Margarita was during this novel. She was powerful in her dealings with the devil and his retinue.
I loved the relationship between Margarita and the Master. Even if they were pulled apart long before the beginning of this novel, Margarita was always loving and waiting for him to come back.
One thing I did not like about The Master and Margarita was that at some points I was flipping through the  book at an astonishing speed and at other points I didn't want to continue reading because it was just that boring.
Even though The Master and Margarita was boring at points, it was completely worth reading.

Mistaken Identity is a based on a true story. It is a shocking novel about two girls who got into a tragic accident. The two girls looked very alike which made it very hard for people to identify who is who. In this tragic accident only one out of the two girls survived. Having only one survive made me think would that destroy a family ? Would having only one survive shatter the family's faith in god? Would it push the families into bittneress or guilt? This shocking story stunned the country and also made national news.

 

This book had me thinking about faith , hope, and to believe. In this novel they talk a lot about God and how you should not start hating him when things don't go the way you thought or wanted them to go . I think I might have learned a couple of new things from reading this amazing story.  I recommend people to read this shocking and entertaining story because just like me you might learn something new and also because it takes you along on a tragic and exciting adventure. Two families , One survivor , Unwavering Hope .

I LOVE YOU, BETH COOPER by Larry Doyle

Hilarious, Suspenseful, Hysterical                                                 Fiction, Comedy                                                 Plot Preview                                                          This novel, based on the movie, is flagrantly funny as well as suspenseful. It keeps making you wonder what will happen next at the same time as making you laugh out loud. It has a plausibly implausible plot, it is very outlandish, and is full of clever twists and turns throughout the entire story. Although this novel is hilarious and has a great plot, it is somewhat hard and frustrating to follow the story due to the extreme attention to little details which successfully highlights the little things, but also at the same time takes away from the main story, and sidetracks the reader away from what is actually going on.             3.5/5

While reading this suspense filled book it really got me thinking of how it feels to be placed in a situation where no one believes you not even your own sister. Reading this story It made me understand that sometimes trying to prove something only you saw and witnessed can be a challenge because it does not always make sense to others.

Teagan is a strong character who is torn apart from seeing a tragic incident occur right in front of her. Two of her best friends get gunned down right in front of her. Throughout this book she is told she is wrong, no one believes what she is saying over and over again.  What will she have to do to get everyone to believe her? Maybe going out of her way to do something can prove to be harmful to her.
