Heartbreaking, Shocking, Suspenseful...

Fiction

Genre(s): Romance, Drama

                                                       Plot Preview

“Betrayed” is the second book of “The House of Night Series”. (RECAP, no spoilers) In the first book of this series “Marked”, Zoey Redbird was marked on her forehead. Being marked indicates that you have a chance at becoming a vampire. When and if you get marked, you must go to the House of Night. The House of Night is a night school for vampires. If you choose not to pursue becoming a vampire by not going to the House of Night; you will die within the next three years of your human life. Yet, if you choose to take a chance at becoming a vampire, chances are you won’t complete the transition. In other words, you’ll die. Zoey Redbird took her chance at becoming a vampire for her last chance at survival. She went to the House of Night and met the leader (high priestess) Neferet. Neferet was a sweet goddess and always helped Zoey when needed... Becoming a vampire doesn’t mean that you’ll live forever. It means that you’ll live longer, you’re able to drink blood and in special cases have powers… Zoey redbird is unlike any other human to be marked. She has powers that even vampires who have completed their transition, don’t have.

“Betrayed” is the second book of “The House of Night Series”. Zoey Redbird was finally starting to fit in to the House of Night. She made friends and even a best friend named, Stevie Rae. But one night, her ex-boyfriend called her and wanted to meet up. That night everything changed. Her friends started to become enemies and her enemies started to become friends. Every horrible thing imagined was happening. Humans were dying, vampires were lying and everything was all too much. Zoey was the only person who could stop it from getting worse. She didn’t know how, but she knew she had the powers to stop anything. Will she end up saving or destroying? This book was one of the best books I’ve ever read in my whole life. I have to admit that the first book of the series “Marked”, was quite boring to read. But the second book “Betrayed” was absolutely phenomenal. It was worth every minute of reading the first book. This book had amazing character developpement and description of events that occurred. “Betrayed” is the most shocking, suspenseful and heartbreaking book of all time. It’s a must read for anyone who loves thrillers, suspense, drama and vampires.
