Personal Response: My friend Grace gave me this book to read, and I'm really glad she did. If you ever thought that you were going through a hard time, just think of Ellie Summerfield and you will feel like your life is just another day next to her's. I haven't met anyone like her, but one day I hope I do and hope to understand what it's like to live with what Ellie was going through. With all the twists and turns that happen in this book, I'm glad that I am the person I am. I realize now, more then ever, that people have lots of different problems and sometimes we need to do things by ourselves to get away from the pain.
