Mystery
This book takes place in various fictional locations and it's told through the point of view of all of the characters. Jack Argyle dies in prison while serving a life sentence for killing his mother, two years later a stranger, Dr. Arthur Calgary shatters the peace of the Argyle household by revealing that Jack was sentenced for a murder he didn't commit.
Throughout the story there are several different points of view about what is going on and how each of the characters are reacting to it. Each character is affected by the main conflict, but at the same time, each of them are dealing with their own individual conflicts which makes the overall story very diverse and interesting, there are many different passions/emotions in the story, some of which include hate, greed, fear, avarice, love, and denial. Altogether the book was quite remarkable but, the ending, although shocking, seemed to be a little jaded.
4.5/5
